13TH - 24TH MAY 2025 • 10:00 - 18:00 • GALLERY 12, THE LAVERY, 4 CROMWELL PLACE, LONDON, SW7 2JE

We are thrilled to be exhibiting some of our furniture pieces with gallery Maud & Mabel, as part of their current exhibition at The Lavery in London.  Our sculptural Burnt English Oak Tables & Stools sit beautifully with the stunning ceramic pieces of acclaimed artists Kenta Anzai and Akiko Hirai.

yAwArAkAi kArA – The Reflecting Skin’, an intimate exploration of surface, substance, and the interplay between strength and fragility, opened as part of London Craft Week and continues showing until Saturday 24th May.

yAwArAkAi kArA (translating to "soft shell"), suggests a delicate yet resilient boundary, while the subtitle, The Reflecting Skin, references the reflective interplay of light, shadow, and material, drawing inspiration from Tanizaki’s In Praise of Shadows and the emotive depths of its cinematic namesake.

“We are honoured to be able to share the exquisite work of pachadesign as part of this exhibition.  A partnership of Glenn Rushbrooke and Samantha Robb, pachadesign create quietly powerful furniture and objects from their studio on the North Cornwall/North Devon coast.  Rooted in simplicity, mindfulness, and the wabi sabi philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection, their work brings together raw, reclaimed materials, hand-selected for their texture, history, and natural character.  Using English hardwoods, British stone, and occasional touches of steel or brass, their pieces exist in the space between sculpture and function” - Maud & Mabel.

If you’d like to see the exhibition, this beautiful curation, exhibited in the tranquil setting of The Lavery (formerly known as Cromwell Place), is showing until Saturday 24th May.
