We are delighted to be exhibiting new works at the group exhibition RITUAL OBJECTS at Maud & Mabel in London, along with fellow makers Abigail Schama, Yoko Ozawa, Kumiko and Michihiro Domoto, Popalini & Jezando and Youyou Wang.
Through RITUAL OBJECTS, Maud & Mabel present a group exhibition bringing together contemporary craft artists working in ceramics and wood, whose practises explore the choreography of holding, offering, containing, and revealing. Rooted in traditions of making, yet firmly contemporary, the works move between function and form, use and contemplation.
Across culture and centuries, vessels have shaped the rituals that bring us together. A tray placed between friends, a cup offered in welcome, a lidded container opened with care, a bowl held in both hands, each gesture carries an unspoken language.
