This piece is a deep matt black with beautiful movement in the grain.

We use the Japanese technique of shou sugi ban to burn the oak - this process brings out the grain and highlights any beautiful knots, cracks & imperfections and gives the oak it’s charred matt black look.

To be used as part of your tea ritual, to serve small food bites or to display your treasured objects.

Finished with a food-safe eco hard wax oil that leaves the oak protected and with a natural matt finish
