This sculptural tray has beautifully tactile surfaces from both the burning and the sawn processes. It features a sawn textured middle section with smoother ends.

We use the Japanese technique of shou sugi ban to burn the oak - this process brings out the grain and highlights any beautiful knots, cracks & imperfections and gives the oak its charred matt black look.

Designed with a slight elevation, so that the tray can be easily lifted. To be used as part of your tea ritual, to serve small food bites or to display your treasured objects.

Made from sustainably sourced English Oak and finished with a food-safe eco hard wax oil that leaves the oak protected and with a natural matt finish.
