We have a selection of these beautiful silk Freedom & Peace ribbons made in Devon by the wonderful Robert Ely from Papilionaceous. Inspired by the work of Hirbawi (Kufiya weavers in Palestine) and colours of Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery), each jacquard silk ribbon is 9cm in length and mounted on a black pin. 

All funds from the sales of the ribbons will go to our fundraising campaign for our friend Ikhlas Kamel Farajallah in Gaza.

Ribbons are £11 each with free p&p to mainland UK.

Ikhlas is a 24 year old Palestinian national currently living in the Gaza Strip. Her and her family have been displaced many times after their home was bombed, where she lost several members of her family including her 7 month old nephew. We are in contact with Ikhlas most days and she recently got the news that she has been given an unconditional offer from Aberdeen University to study, starting in January 2026.

A group of 15 of us, who have been communicating and supporting Ikhlas, have joined together to help raise the funds that she will need to secure a student visa. Getting someone out of Gaza to study is more than just education. It’s saving a life, giving a future, and breaking a cycle of suffering. Your donation can truly change Ikhlas’s destiny.
