Our handmade burnt serving boards can be used for serving sushi, canapés, artisan desserts & chocolates or other small food bites of your choosing, or use as part of your tea practice for tea ware or simply for displaying sacred objects

Most of our organic shaped burnt serving boards are made with English Oak - this one is made from a nice piece of English Chestnut with beautiful ripple markings across the surface

We cut & plane each piece to the desired thickness and leave the natural edge & shape as it was found

We use the Japanese technique of shou sugi ban to burn the wood - this process brings out the grain and highlights any beautiful knots, cracks & imperfections and gives a charred matt black look

Finished with a food-safe oil that leaves the wood protected and with a natural matt finish
